Herringbone pattern - bathroom tiling

For this one, the owners wanted something that looked a bit special - a feature wall with tiles laid in herringbone style, with the other walls in normal straight tiles.

As always, we started with waterproofing - the most important step, although it's invisible at the end. In this case it is also invisible at the beginning, as we forgot to take photos of this step 🤦‍♂️

Next step was laying out the floor tiles, pegged carefully for perfect spacing.

Once the floor was done, it was time to start laying the walls. Herringbone is not the easiest pattern to lay, but it is extremely satisfying when it's done!

We added a custom trim around the edges to finish the wall off nicely.

This was a feature wall; the other walls were laid in a standard pattern.

Overall the room looked great when it was done!
