Bathroom transformation

One of our most satisfying jobs yet, this was a complete bathroom reconstruction - actually more like a transformation - in Brisbane.

The owners had previously pulled out the old bathroom, including pulling off all the old tiles, but hadn't quite got around to putting in a new one - that's where we came in! We certainly enjoyed the challenge.

The bathroom as we first saw it - not pretty!

First step was resheeting the walls, which were uneven with glue everywhere, to give a clean smooth base for the tiles.

Then the most important step in any bathroom tiling project - the waterproofing. We always take extra care when waterproofing as the slightest flaw can lead to trouble down the track.

A smooth finish is essential for the final tiles to sit flush

The main floor was self-levelled and the shower tray screeded for a smooth fall to the waste.

The floor and walls were all tiled with clips to ensure a neat finish on the tiles. Grout and silicone were both colour matched.

Finally we assisted with the fit-out. We don't normally get to see this stage so it was very satisfying seeing the finished product. We are very happy with what we achieved.
